Refund policy

This Return & Refund Policy applies to all orders placed with Munchy Merchy, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) via our Shopify store.

All of our products are made-to-order using print-on-demand production. This means each item is created specifically after your order is placed.

This policy complies with applicable consumer protection laws, including those of the European Union, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Canada, and applicable Latin American jurisdictions.


1. Made-to-Order Products

All products are custom-made upon order. Due to this reason, we do not accept returns or offer refunds for:

  • incorrect size selection by the customer
  • change of mind
  • buyer’s remorse
  • preference for a different color, design, or style
  • orders placed incorrectly by the customer

This is permitted under applicable consumer laws as products are made-to-order. However, this does not affect your legal rights if an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect.


2. Size Exchanges and Fit Issues

As each item is made-to-order, we do not offer returns or exchanges for incorrect size selection. Customers are responsible for selecting the correct size using the size chart provided on each product page.

Size charts reflect manufacturer specifications. Minor variations (typically within 1–3 cm or 0.5–1.5 inches) are normal and do not qualify as defects. If you are unsure about sizing, please contact us before ordering.


3. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

We will provide a replacement or refund if your item is:

  • defective
  • damaged during shipping
  • misprinted
  • materially different from what you ordered
  • incorrect due to our error

To request replacement item or refund, you must contact us at support@munchymerchy.com within 30 days of receiving your order. Upon contacting us, please provide the following information:

  • your order number
  • clear photos of the item
  • detailed description of the issue

If approved, we will provide one of the following remedies:

  • replacement at no cost
  • full refund
  • store credit (where permitted and agreed)

We will cover shipping costs for defective or incorrect items.


4. Returns 

Return requests are handled on a case-by-case basis and we reserve the right to deny refunds if return eligibility is not approved.

Approved returns are only accepted for US domestic purchases in the US. Returns are not supported for international purchases. 

To request a return, please contact us at support@munchymerchy.com or reply to your order confirmation email with the following:

  • Quality photos of your damaged or defective item(s)
  • Your original order number

This information will be used determine your return eligibility and you will be notified if your return request has been approved. We will provide a prepaid return shipping label via email for domestic returns only if returns are approved.

Returned items must have no visible signs of wear or use. Discounted items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Once we receive your damaged/defective item, we will immediately process your refund to your original apyment method or issue a store credit.


5. Order Cancellations

Orders may only be cancelled before production begins. As production typically begins within hours, cancellation is not guaranteed. To request cancellation, contact us immediately at: support@munchymerchy.com

5a. Legal Right to Cancel (EU, UK, Switzerland, Norway)

If you are located in the European Union (EU), United Kingdom (UK), Switzerland, or Norway, consumer law provides a 14-day withdrawal right. However, this right does not apply to goods that are:

  • made to the consumer’s specifications, or
  • clearly personalized, or
  • produced on demand after purchase

As our products are made-to-order, the statutory withdrawal right may not apply once production has begun. If your order has not yet entered production, cancellation may be possible. For cancellation inquiry, please contact us immediately at: support@munchymerchy.com


6. Lost Packages

If your order is lost in transit, please contact us. If confirmed lost by the carrier, we will provide:

  • replacement, or
  • refund

as appropriate. Incorrect shipping addresses provided by the customer are not eligible for refunds.


7. Delivery Issues and Refused Packages

If an order is returned due to:

  • incorrect address provided by the customer
  • failure to collect the package
  • refusal of delivery

we may offer reshipment. Additional shipping fees may apply. Refunds are not guaranteed in these cases.


8. Refund Processing

If your refund is approved, it will be issued to your original payment method. Processing times are as follows:

  • EU, UK, Switzerland, Norway: within 14 days
  • Canada and Latin America: typically within 5–15 business days

Your bank or payment provider may require additional processing time. Shipping costs are non-refundable unless required by law.


9. Fraud Prevention and Abuse Protection

We reserve the right to refuse refunds, returns, or replacements in cases of:

  • fraud or abuse
  • repeated refund requests
  • intentional misuse of this policy
  • insufficient evidence of defect

This does not limit your statutory consumer rights.


10. Consumer Legal Warranty Rights

Customer's statutory rights are protected in accordance to this policy under applicable consumer protection laws, including:

  • EU Consumer Rights Directive
  • UK Consumer Rights Act 2015
  • Canadian provincial consumer laws
  • Switzerland consumer protection laws
  • Norway consumer protection laws
  • Latin American consumer protection regulations

If a product is faulty or not as described, you may be entitled to remedies under applicable law.
